Shelton’s Fall/Winter Trend Release
Jeff Martin
While fashion week is about fantasy and illusion, the most captivating trends from the fall shows emphasized wearable texture, natural ease and feminine approachability. From polished ponytails to unfussy strands left free around the shoulders, hairstylists offered up plenty of inspirational and achievable ideas that float from the runway to the real world surprisingly well. As we enter in one of my favorite seasons, one thing that might be on everyone’s mind is change. Change into a new style, a new look, and even a new hair trend.
If you’re planning on getting your hair cut anytime soon, you’ll want to check out these trends to see if any will work for you.
70’s – There’s definitely a 70s feel for the fall. For instance, Retro bouffants seem to be all the rage. Think about adding more width to your style. Get out those teasing combs and hairspray and add some volume. Yes!
Ponytails – Whether simple and sleek or with added volume and texture, a sleek ponytail is something a girl could style herself. The looks were focused on clean lines or texture.
Blunt Bangs – Wear this trend fringed out for a truly fashion forward feel. Eye grazing and eye catching hairstyles featuring blunt bangs are once again turning heads this season. If you’ve been debating on trying a new look, simply adding bangs is one of the easiest, yet dramatic styles to help you switch up your look for the season.
Twists – While the braid has been a favorite for quite some seasons, the twist is now in full swing and can be seen in the form of updos, and half up down styles for a new edgy take on the braid. Wearable, effortless-chic styles have replaced meticulous updo’s, especially when paired with rich, luxurious clothes.
Color – Smudging and blending are the key techniques to showcase your beautiful fall color palette. Color is going cooler this fall. Think ashy, icy and whiter for blondes and violet to amethyst tones for reds and brunettes. Ombré is still a big hit this season but it’s just a bit more subtle and blended.
Fall 2012 is rounding out to be rather polished. These are the latest fall hair colors, haircut, and hair ideas straight from the runway. It’s time to start the fall season with a new head turning look that’s sure to get you noticed. Just remember that your stylists will help you choose the best look for you.
